SAIC
Hey everyone!
Happy Christmas eve!!!! I have spent the last few months taking a fashion design and construction class at SAIC. I loves the class and hope to take it again. The first project was a self portrait. everyone was given a plain white mens t-shirt to reconstruct into something that represents their personality. The second project was to reconstruct a men's suit into a women's outfit. The goal was to transform the power of a men's suit into something powerful a women could wear. My outfit was inspired by buildings in Chicago that represent strength and power. After each project was complete we had a photo shoot, and on the last day of the class we had a fashion show at the SAIC ballroom!

Aqua Coffee Filter Dress
Hi everyone,
I recently found out that the Aqua building in downtown chicago is the only skyscraper in Chicago with a women architect. This inspired me to make a dress based off of it. I wanted the dress to be made of something other than fabric. One day I was looking at some coffee filters and it reminded me of the wave like affect the building has. I then dyed and painted each one, and sewed them together. I also wanted the dress to be very feminine to represent the women architect.

Holiday Sweaters
Hey everyone!
So the holidays are right around the corner! I have been busy decorating and listening to christmas music because I LOVE the holidays. It is by far may favorite time of the year. The christmas season is a time of year you can get away with wearing a tacky but fun sweater. I was shopping online today and I notices many designers are selling christmas sweaters. They are all very fun and creative. So here are my 11 favorite holiday sweaters :)

Black And White With A Pop of PINK
