Hey everyone!
A few weeks ago my teacher at SAIC told me to apply to join a style team in Chicago. Hive fashion is a fashion class/club for teens. I applied to be part of the Hive Fashion Style Bias Designer team. There were three separate groups that one could apply for: the documentarian, curator of style, and the designer. For the past few weeks I have been meeting with the team every Monday. Each week I learn something new! Some weeks we learn about fashion interviews, how to design labels, and about fashion history. Right now we are working on designing shirts for a store called RSVP in Chicago. Last Monday, Hive Fashion had an all city event. In groups of three we were given a pile of clothes and the goal was to pin the clothes together to make something new! My group turned a bouse inside, used pieces of extra fabric, an upside down skirt, and a winter coat hood. My friend Chloe and I were the designers, and Ube was the model. I had a lot of fun working with them and I hope to again soon! :)
